Just got back from New York last weekend. Fab city. If you like cheesecake goto Juniors cheesecake in Times Square. Top of the rock is also better than the Empire State Building (particularly at Night). Enjoy.
My question - Whats the best thing about your life right now.

You are too cute. That bug you?
Hah!

Also I often wonder if you're a glass-half-full or glass-half-empty person?

Anon-I certainly love cheesecake. Any other NYC related recommendations are greatly appreciated.
The best thing about my life?
That's actually a hard question. Because I tend to zone out of bad situations, the good ones just seem normal. But if I think about it I couldn't have better friends and family (for the most part). I can generally do whatever I wish and would be encouraged by my mother in whatever makes me happy. I guess that's pretty good right?

Andy-you flatter :) In answer to your question; I don't believe in that metaphor. I'm neither optimistic nor pessimistic. I'm realistic, and I take everything as it is, no sugar coating and no condmning. Just take what you have. I guess I try to make anything pleasing, so to give an actual answer-half full.

What chemistry related course are you taking? Because in a previous post you mentioned that you were taking one. I'm curious because I'm also a student and I'm majoring in biochemistry. Which brings the related question of what's your major?

Anon-We don't do 'majors' in the UK. We pick a course right from the beginning and stick to it :P I'm studying Medicinal Chemistry.

A friend of mine recently visited the Museum of Modern Art, and thought it was wonderful. You could do worse, I think!

Question: you like art? What do you do for 'cultural enrichment'?

DBC-I'll hopefully get some museum time during my visit so thanks for the recommendation.
As for art, the only form I really like, and i'm talking visual art, is photography. Paintings and sculptures don't really interest me. There's so much in a photo that has to be right for it to work; scenery, model, clothes, lighting, time of day etc. I sometimes post some photography stuff on here so that's the sort of thing I enjoy.
Truely though, music is the only art that takes over my life.
